What it is

Paint Correction, done right.

Paint correction machine-polishes the clear coat to remove the defects that dull it — swirls from automatic washes, light scratches, water spots and oxidation. It isn’t a glaze that fills damage and washes off; it takes the defect out. We decontaminate the paint first, measure its thickness so we only remove what’s needed, then compound and polish panel by panel under inspection lights.

Why it’s worth it

The payoff.

Swirls & haze out

Removes the spiderweb swirls that automatic washes and dirty towels leave behind.

Light scratch removal

Levels fine scratches and marring in the clear coat instead of hiding them.

Real depth & gloss

A flat, even clear coat reflects light cleanly — richer color, sharper reflections.

Oxidation & water spots

Cuts through faded, chalky paint and etched hard-water spots.

Measured, not guessed

We check paint depth before cutting, so correction stays safe for your clear coat.

Ceramic-ready finish

The right foundation for ceramic coating or PPF — lock the finish in once it’s right.

Straight answers

Paint Correction FAQ.

How much does paint correction cost?

It depends on the size of the vehicle, how hard the paint is and how much damage is in it — a newer car that needs a 1-step costs far less than a neglected black truck that needs a heavy 2-step. We inspect the paint and give you a real number before any polishing starts.

Will it remove every scratch?

It removes defects that sit in the clear coat — swirls, marring, light scratches and water spots. A scratch that catches your fingernail or goes down to primer is too deep to polish out safely; we’ll point those out up front so there are no surprises.

Does paint correction thin the clear coat?

Every correction removes a very small amount of clear coat, which is why we measure paint thickness first and use the least aggressive step that gets the result. Done correctly it’s safe — it’s repeated, careless polishing that causes trouble.

How long does it take?

A 1-step usually takes a day; a 2-step correction typically takes one to two days depending on the vehicle and its condition. We’ll give you a timeline at inspection.

Should I get a ceramic coating afterward?

We recommend it. Correction removes the defects, but washing will eventually put new swirls back. A ceramic coating locks in the corrected finish and makes it much harder to re-scratch — it’s why we correct before every coating.
